2011 Nisei Week Queen

Erika was crowned Queen during the 2011 Nisei Week Coronation Ball right here in Pasadena at the Ambassador Auditorium. Her family and friends were there to watch the 'competition" and share in the festivities. Tanabata Festival Kazari

Ernie Fukumoto's QiGong group created a kazari for the Pasadena Japanese Cultural Institute. It took many hours of folding and putting this together. It was hung in the courtyard of the Japanese American National Museum with all the other kazaris that had been created by other groups.
