Jamie Hagiya crownded Nisei Week's Miss Tomodachi

Picture

Before a loud and raucous sell out crowd at the Japan America Theatre, 2009 Nisei Week Queen Dana Heatherton ended her busy and exciting year long reign as she passed her title to the 2010 queen, Lani Nishiyama of West Los Angeles. Pasadena’s 2010 representative, Jamie Hagiya, distinguished herself by being awarded the honor of Miss Tomodachi, which was bestowed upon her by her fellow members on this year’s court.

Jamie, the daughter of Grant and Jan Hagiya, graduated from USC with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, where she was also a member of the women’s varsity basketball team. Congratulations and best wishes to Jamie as she begins her journey as a member of this year’s Nisei Week Court.
